Rally to Save James Bay
Please join us on Thursday, April 17, at 12:00 noon outside City Hall!
This Thursday, Council will be taking the next step in the process to confirm their existing direction on the OCP.
This is our chance to influence Council and make it known that Victoria residents are not happy with the OCP’s current direction.
On April 3, Councillors Caradonna, Dell, Gardiner and Loughton were supportive of changes to the OCP to recognize the fact that James Bay already has its share of density (40% more than other neighbourhoods), but they were outvoted.
Let’s make it be known that residents want changes to the OCP to:
- strengthen renter protections like the City of Burnaby has done,
- make affordability a priority by actually requiring it,
- protect James Bay’s remaining heritage filled streets, and
- provide stronger protections for existing trees and greenspace.
Join us this Thursday at 12:00 noon, outside the Pandora Street entrance to City Hall.
Bring a sign!
and, please sign the petition
The rally and petition are both organized by the James Bay Coalition which is not affiliated with/endorsed by the JBNA
