UPDATE: Although the Saturday June 8th event showed “Sold Out” you may now join a “Waitlist” . City of Victoria staff are “exploring options for an additional workshop”
“These workshops are collaborative workshops focussing on public space opportunities, building design, urban villages and enhanced connections for walking and rolling, within the larger framework of the Official Community Plan. As such, they are organized around small-group table activities where community members work with each other, facilitators and urban designers to brainstorm and explore ideas. Attendance at the event is by nature limited by the ability to facilitate table activities, including coordination between the staff team and the consultants required to cover diverse topic areas. The three Places and Spaces workshops were initially designed to accommodate 100 people.
Based on high interest in the James Bay Workshop, we are exploring options for an additional workshop and will strive to reach and include diverse community members including homeowners, renters, businesses, and people from diverse household types representative of the community.”
Register for this event and provide your thoughts on the future of James Bay.
“The Ideas Workshop will be a collaborative place-based planning session with the community to explore and brainstorm ideas for the future of building design, public spaces and community connection in James Bay. This workshop is open to anyone who lives, works, plays, or has a keen interest in the future of the area.”
